EDMtruePLM Server Installation_

To start the installation, execute the EDMtruePLM_Server_Setup.exe file.
Note: This installation procedure assumes that Apache Tomcat web server is not installed, yet.

Press the Next button to go to the license agreement.

Press "I Agree" to be able to move on.

Choose the components that you wish to install and press the "Next" button.
In the next step you confirm the JAVA location by pushing "Next"; use "Back" to provide a different JAVA runtime folder path.

The wizard displays the current JAVA runtime folder version; this is the last installation of Java SE Development Kit 11+ 64 bit (JDK) on your system. If you do not have installed JDK on your machine, this page will display an error message.
The next two steps shall gather information on where you have decided to install EDM and the EDMtruePLM folder. This information will help the EDMtruePLM server installer to correctly create the runtime environment and the server start and stop scripts.

Within the EDMtruePLM folder, an Apache Tomcat and EDM core applications will be created.
Actual settings for the Apache Tomcat instance will be located as follows:
Note: By default, these folders are hidden in Windows Explorer.
C:\ProgramData\Jotne\TruePLM_base
The EDM database location is the following:
C:\ProgramData\Jotne\TruePLM\database
Press the Next button to move on.
If you have a previous installation of the EDMtruePLM server, the following windows will be displayed. This page will ask you what to do with the previous EDMtruePLM database (see Figure 6). You are given the following options:

  • Use existing database

This will use the available database. Note, existing database may be not compatible with currently installed EDMtruePLM version.

  • Replace existing database (recommended)

This will remove existing database and extract new one from the installer.

  • Rename the database folder

This will rename the previous database folder to
"database_{current date}" and will extract the new database from the installer.
Press the Next button to go to the next page that represents the summary of all selected parameters.

The EDMtruePLM Server Setup (Figure 8) will execute the installation process as defined by the earlier steps in the wizard.
