- Press Next to start the installation process.
- Shows the default location where the installer will place the software, this will also be the EDM_HOME system variable value. Press next to go forward
- Here you can see the installation information.
- The installer will copy the needed files and add the EDM_HOME variable to you system environment and lastly add firewall rules to the windows firewall
- The installation process is finished. If you do not want to add the license key uncheck the "Launch Install License Key" option.
Step 3: Install license key
If not started from last step in EDM installation: locate "InstallLicenseKey.exe" in EDM installation "bin", right-click and select run as administrator.
- Add the license information and click on "Start installation". This will add the license to the system.
- The installation process is finished.
Step 3: Install EDMserverConsole
This software is not strictly required, but without it the EDM server components have to be conmrolled manually from command line and/or command scripts.
Refer to EDMserverConsole documentation.
Step 4: Install EDMmodelServer template database
EDMmodelServer installations will be based on either a customer adapted database, or one of the template databases.
Step 5: Configure and verify installation
Configure according to to EDMserverConsole documentation. Start the server.
Verify by starting a client application, for example EDMsupervisor or EDMmodelServerManager and try connect to server.

If you are using other firewall application than the Windows firewall you have to manually add the correct innbound inbound and outbound rules for the edmserver.exe and edmappserver.exe applications or their ports to the firewall application. |

The ports used for EDM depend on the given port number. The edmserver.exe application shall use the given port number and the edmappserver.exe will use the following port numbers .e.g. if you enter port number 9090 than the edmserver.exe will use this port number and the first edmappserver.exe will use port number 9091, the second will use 9092 etc.. |
