Requirements for installing and running the Express Data Manager are listed below. Special the EDMserver needs much memory if it should serve several EDMclients.
- Administration rights on the computer when installing

This section discusses the way in which EXPRESS Data Manager software is distributed. The EXPRESS Data Manager accept the white space character as delimiter between file names in "file name" and "directory name" arguments. Hence, to avoid confusion and possible malfunctions, we recommend avoiding using file and directory names containing the white space character as parameters to EDMsupervisor commands or as arguments to EDMinterface operations. Especially the EDM_HOME configuration parameter should not contain any white space character. The default location is C:\edm\Program files\Jotne\EDMsix.

The ports used for EDM depend on the given port number. The edmserver.exe application shall use the given port number and the edmappserver.exe will use the following port numbers .e.g. if you enter port number 9090 than the edmserver.exe will use this port number and the first edmappserver.exe will use port number 9091, the second will use 9092 etc.. |
