FUNCTION xpfFindCharInString (str                 : STRING;
                              char                : STRING(1) FIXED;
                              startIndex          : INTEGER);
                              indexOfMatchingChar : INTEGER;
                

The function xpfFindCharInString searches a string str for the character char. The argument startIndex (starting from one) defines the index in str to start searching for char. The first character in a string has the index of one. If char is found in str then the index of the character char in str is returned as the function value. If char is not found in str zero is the returned function value.
