xpfIsVolatileInstance

FUNCTION xpfIsVolatileInstance (instance   : GENERIC)
                                isVolatile : LOGICAL;
                

The xpfIsVolatileInstance function checks if the specified instance is a volatile instance. Volatile instances are created by the EDMexpressVM as result of reading a Derive attribute, invoking an EDMquery function or running other ?programs? in EDMexpressVM. Volatile instances are never persistent in an EDMdatabase. In this operation an instance means both entity instance and aggregate instance.
