Constructed data types

Constructed data types cannot be defined in anEDMexpressX mapping schema. But anEDMexpressX mapping schema can reference constructed data types defined in the Source Schema and the Target Schema.

Generalized data types

EDMexpressX defines exactly the same generalized data types as the EXPRESS language. The generalized data types can be used in GLOBAL, LOCAL, CONSTANT, FUNCTION, and PROCEDURE declarations.

Named data types

Named data types cannot be defined in an EDMexpressX mapping schema. But an EDMexpressX mapping schema can reference named data types defined in the Source Schema and the Target Schema.

Simple data types

EDMexpressX defines exactly the same simple data types as the EXPRESS language.
