Licensing

Developers who consider Express Data Manager and EDMsdk for their commercial applications must keep in mind the options available for licensing EDMsix. The EDMsdk license it self is perpetual and once you have purchased it, you may use it for as long as you like. However, if you include EDMsix libraries in your distributed application, you will need an Embedded Software License Agreement, ESLA, with Jotne EPM Technology AS. To activate EDMsix libraries from your application, you will need to embed an EDMruntime license key in your compiled source code. This EDMruntime license key is also perpetual, meaning that any distributed instance of your application will remain operative, but you can only keep distributing for as long as your ESLA is effective.

For the EDMsixServer applications EDMmodelServer, EDMopenSimDM and EDMtruePLM, both perpetual and lease licenses are available.
