Configure EDM6ServerConsole_
EDM6ServerConsole is the GUI management tool for the EDMtruePLM Server; for details, see Appendix A.
Start the EDM6ServerConsole by running the EDM6serverConsole application by using the corresponding desktop shortcut. If the EDMservice is not yet started, the following error message will be displayed.

Windows system should be restarted to make EDMservice work. If it does not help, EDMservice should be reinstalled manually. See chapter A.1 for details.
We assume here that the EDM license was installed before the installation of the EDMservice. In this case the "Solution" tab (see Figure 33) has at least one row with a license number at the first column.
"Solution" contains settings to start one EDMserver and one or multiple application servers, also called appservers.
Before starting a "Solution", its components (Server, Configuration and Database) must be configured. All components are created automatically during installation of the EDMtruePLM server.
Simple user actions are needed to complete the solution configuration.
Drop down lists in column 2 (Server), 3 (Configuration) and 4 (Database) should offer selections.
It is recommended to set a tick to the check box in the column before "Start/Stop" button. In this case the solution will be started automatically when Windows is restarted.

EDMtruePLM requires a password to open a database. This password is (and should be) equal to the superuser password.
Open the "Database" tab where you will find one row per database. Click on it to open the "Edit EDM database" dialog (see Figure 14).
Note 1: The database password is required to start a solution for the first time.
Note 2: The application is delivered with a default database and superuser password.
Default password is Db1$123. Set it and click OK.
It is recommended to change both passwords (database and superuser's) - still keep them identical. The corresponding procedure is described in the section A.5 - Changing system admin password.
Passwords must be minimum 7 characters and maximum 24 characters long and consist of at least one lowercase and one uppercase letters, one digit and one non alphanumeric character.

By default, "Configuration" uses only one application server. The number of application servers can be increased; 4 or 5 appservers are fine in most cases. See section A.3.5.3 for details.
A solution can be started manually from the "Solution" tab by clicking the "Start" button.
Note: It is recommended to reboot the system.
