FUNCTION xpxGetAttrDefinition (entityIdOrViewEntityId             : GENERIC;
                               entityAttrNameOrViewEntityAttrName : STRING; 
                               VAR attrIdOrViewEntityAttrId       : GENERIC)
                               status                             : INTEGER;

The xpxGetAttrDefinition function returns the instanceId of the attribute_definition instance that defines the specified attribute in the attrIdOrViewEntityAttrId argument. The actual attribute is uniquely defined by the arguments entityIdOrViewEntityId and entityAttrNameOrViewEntityAttrName .
