Create an 0ntology

An RDL class can only be created in the domain of an editable "Status" property must be "DRAFT" ontology. A new RDL ontology object is marked editable by default. To create any new data objects (classes, properties, units) at least one RDL ontology should be created.
Use "Tools → "Create ontology…" in the main menu. The following dialog appears (see Figure 11).

An ontology must have a unique identifier in model – URL.
Text field "URN" is optional.
Different ontologies within a model can have the same URN. Both identifiers (URL and URN) are ontology names.
URN is used as RDL class identifier in DEXlib. If two RDL ontologies have the same URN, they should not have the same RDL class names.
