FUNCTION xpxFindFirstCharInString (str                                : STRING;
                                   char                               : STRING (1) FIXED;   
                                   VAR indexOfFirstOccurrenceInString : INTEGER )   
                                   status                             : INTEGER

The function xpxFindFirstCharInString returns the index of the first occurrence of the specified character char in the string str through the argument indexOfFirstOccurrenceInString (starting from one).

Arguments

INTEGERindexOfFirstOccurrenceInStringThe first character in a string has index one. The value of indexOfFirstOccurrenceInString is set to zero when no occurrence of char is found in str.
